(boots - vintage; jeans - soho; blouse - H&M; leather jacket - vintage; purse - vintage; headband - H&M)

Sorry for my late post! Alex and I went to Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver a few weeks ago. The plan was to go to the aquarium but the line up was huge so we decided to walk through the park instead! I had no idea there was a shrinking lake located in the middle of it! I have driven past the outskirts of the park for years and years but I have never walked along the sea wall before. Next time we are going to rent bikes and ride along the entire thing!

We also went shopping downtown and I bought 3 new tops from H&M!!! I've decided that H&M is my all time favorite store. I was going to buy a cropped butter yellow tank but it was $55!! I can usually find really good deals but sometimes H&M has some overpriced stuff. After buying my new printed blouse pictured above I really like yellow! It's a great color for the summer.

LOOK OF THE DAY: they're not listening at your door

(coat tail blazer; cropped top - H&M; stompers; black denim; head piece and bag - vintage)

Though I have a final tomorrow morning, I needed to post photos of the blazer I found yesterday! For those of you who follow this blog religiously (we love you btw), you'll already know that I've been searching for a coat tailed blazer for like..yeah ten months or something ridiculous. This coat in particular has a special story because I found it while shopping with my mom. She's visiting right now in Montreal, and I couldn't be happier. Anyway! We had a clerk remove the blazer from a mannequin because it was the only one in the store. Somehow it fit perfectly too! Don't you love it when things go just right?

Listening to: Two Kinds of Happiness by the Strokes

I should be studying for my final right now, given that it's at nine tomorrow. Instead, I've been staring at this editorial for the past twenty minutes - photographed by Tierney Gearon. Its been one of my tabs for like a week now, but I haven't had time to post it. Naturally I would wait until the very least appropriate moment to do so. The shoot itself is enchanting, and I keep coming back to look at it. Though my own summer in the West doesn't start until June rolls around, the setting has me pining for that side of the country. Weirdly enough, summer on the Coast is just the opposite of this dusty California backdrop. Oh well, I guess some things are inexplicable.

Black Lips show tomorrow.

born ruffians.

[tamara]

Born Ruffians at Sala Rosa was amazing last Friday! We were right up against the stage the whole night, dancing and singing. Luke LaLonde (lead singer and guitarist) looks like a mix of Bob Dylan and Hayden Christensen. HELLO. My favourite songs were: Little Garcon, I Need a Life and Oh Man. The opening group, First Rate People, was also really good. Lindsay and I are currently hitting the books in McGill's student lounge. Exams are next week and things are getting stressful!

LOOK OF THE DAY: oh but we go out at night.

('Tamara Top' - Pippa Olivier; shoes - Jeffrey Campbell)

Hey guys! I know I've been really absent lately, but I promise that is all going to change now that school is almost over! I had three 10 page papers to do in the last two weeks. It was death. ANYWAY.

The gorgeous top I'm wearing was designed by Natalie and my best friend's mother, who has just recently launched her own blog/line/store. As most of you know, I'm obsessed with colour and this tangerine blouse is absolutely perfect for Spring. The cut and shape of the top is also ideal - long cropped, wide arms. Pippa Olivier's website is here --> clicky.

Lindsay and I are going to the Born Ruffians tonight, so maybe I'll post photos of the show in the next few days if I can take some good ones.
