Designers like Chanel, especially through their pret-a-porter lines, are supplying trends like fast food. To look good in their pieces you don't need to have taste or knowledge of the fashion world, you just need money. To me the best style is that which comes from nothing, completely out of the blue, and just happens to coincide with these 'fast food' lines. In essence, if you are wearing looks similar to what the editorials are putting together, after they have already been printed, then you aren't ahead. You are in fact, behind. Only if you wear the look, and then start seeing it in fashion magazines, are you truly avant garde.
This is something all of those who are interested in fashion can aspire to be like.
